printer and file sharing

I cannot access a printer connected to one PC (let's call
it PCX) from limited accounts on other PCs in workgroup
(even though printer sharing is setup) but I can from
Administrator accounts. Also cannot access Shared
Documents folder on that same PCX from other PCs unless
logged on the other PCs as administrator.

When I go thru the Add Printer Wizard and select the
printer attached to PCX, a window opens asking for user
name and password (but printer sharing is open to
everyone, I thought). When I try to access the Shared
Documents folder on PCX from other PCs, I get an error
msg that "PCX is not accessible. You may not have
permission to use this network resource...Logon failure:
the user has not been granted the requested logon type at
his computer". Again, this only occurs when trying to
access PCX from another PC with a Limited account.

Thanks.

Do you have the same Administrator account on both machines?

What is happening is that your other PCs are trying to authenticate with the
sharing machine. The two simplest solutions are to either add the limited
accounts to the sharing machine with the same name and passwords as they
have on the accessing machines, or enable the Guest account on the Sharing
machine.

Also, check the Shares that you created and see if you gave access to them
for Everyone or Guest. If only Admins have access, that would also explain
your problem.
