smlunatick :
Thanks for the response along with a terrific idea.
Immediately I went to eBay site, because it's easy for me to look at those.
There are several wireless router to choose.
For the purpose of printer sharing and steady flow of wireless to the PCs,
just wonder which wireless router is recommendable?
Thanks,
Thanks for the quick response.
I forgot to state in my previous post, ...
Currently, I've been sharing the Printer with 'Wired,' but I want to share
one of PCs without wired, because this PC sitting further away from the
printer and needs a long, long cable to reach the Printer.
Do I need 'wireless card' for this PC, or all three PCs should be
installed
'wireless cards' inside?
Another question is;
If possible, I want to share the Printer with all three PCs with
'wireless.'
How to do that?
You need to have the following, in order to share the "wireless"
printer "wirelessly" with a "remote" PC:
-- wireless router (replaces wired "router" (still has upto 4 wire
ports)
-- wireless adapter in the not wired PC.
There are two wireless networks to consider:
Wireless G (802.11G) -- Tried and true networking signals that work
upto 54Mb/s
Wireless N (802.11N) -- VERY new network signals. Can work upto 300Mb/
s but the hardware is still "evolving" and drivers still needs a lot
of tweaking. (NOTE: These devices might still be listed a DRAFT or
DRAFT 2.0. However, the standards were "certified" this fall.)
As for which hardware, Linksys and D-Link are the "front" leaders.
However, their support departments are "lacking" in good responses.
My recommendations: Netgear.
