I keep getting the message that an error occurred in the print spooler and
must be stopped. How can I restart it without restarting the computer? I
can see in msconfig that it is stopped, but I do not know the program name.
Any help is appreciated.
Right-click My Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > Services
Print Spooler. Right-click it and select "Start."
If the problem persists or frequently recurs, you might consider
removing and reinstalling your print drivers, or even restoring
SPOOLSV.EXE from the original WinXP installation CD. There is also a
Spooler SubSystem Dynamic Link Library, SPOOLSS.DLL, that might be
damaged. Both files belong in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
