Hello All,

Recently installed Vista.
Print Spooler is constantly failing.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, R

Did you disconnect/uninstall all the older printer drivers before upgrading?

Should have mentioned as well that Vista Ultimate is the version that I'm
running.

Thanks, R

The print spooler service is failing, I haven't actually installed printer
software yet.

Did you install any software that installs a printer? Office has the
document writer that it installs, Acrobat will install a printer. I am
sure there are other applications.

look in the registry for installed printers
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers

and drivers

Hello Allan,
Turns out there was a print driver installed.
Once removed, the print spooler service came back to normal.
Thanks for advice.
