Print Screen function

In trying to use the print screen key to copy a full
screen DOS graphics program to the clipboard, it does not
work on a Win XP Home computer that I use. This function
does work perfectly on several WIN98SE machines I use.
The particular DOS program that I want to get screen
images from only works in full screen mode. When I try to
use the print screen function on other DOS graphic
programs that will run in a window, the print screen
function works on these OK.

Would surely appreciate a definitive answer on this - like
this simply does not work in XP or it does, and one has to
do a, b, c, etc.

Thanks for the hoped for illumination on this!

Your question made me curious since I had never tried screen shot in
full screen mode. I ALT-ENTERed on a Command prompt, then pressed
PrtScn button, then pasted result into Word Pad ... no problem. Came in
as text.

Whereas when PrtScn pressed when not full screen, it was a graphics
image and it pasted as graphics into Word Pad, and also into Paint.

Unless there is a flaw (which I can't think what it would be) it should
work on your computer. Please try it again.

You may also want to adjust the font sizes to enable the DOS program to
display differently so that you get view.
