Print Screen function won't work

How do you know if your system has Print Screen function?
I have the key, and I've tried by itself, using the key
with shift, with alt, with ctrl keys, but will not print
screen. "Help" on Windows 2000 does not include a topic
for Print, Screen.

What I want to do is print the list of files that are in
one folder. If I highlight and "copy" the list, then the
contents of the files are copied; I just want to print (or
copy to another file) the LIST of file names

Thanks for help.

I am having the same problem on WINDOWS 2000 machines.
Tried the PSCR key repeatedly without success.
Suggestions on fix/work around appreciated.

Not sure if this is what you are asking, but the Print
Screen button will only copy the screen to the clipboard,
if you want to print this out you need to paste it into
something like MSPaint and print from there.
Also some Keyboard/Video/Mouse (used to control multiple
machines with one console) use this key to select
different systems but alt-prtscrn usually works OK.
