print migrator dr watson error

Hi,

I am trying to migrate my print server from a Windows 2000 Server in a NT
domain to Windows Server 2003 in a 2003 AD. I tried to use the print
migrator on the print server in NT domain. However, after it gathers all the
info and says:
*** Starting Backup Of Local Machine ***
9/16/2004-13:1:53

It exists. I looked in the application log and it threw a Dr. Watson error:
The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on
09/16/2004 @ 13:01:55.484 The exception generated was c0000005 at address
01012B82 (<nosymbols>)

In the data part of the Event Properties i see that it says access violation
(among a bunch of other stuff).

I have also tried running the tool from the 2003 Server and connecting to
the 2000 print server but get the same error.

I would really like to use this tool, any idea's? I have the logs and can
post if you like, but they are large.

TIA
Brad

Are you using version 3.1?

Can you run printmig successfully on the WS03 Server against the WS03 server
itself?

On your target server, do you have print queues with separator pages?

If yes, are they specified with a full path? If you look at the queue
properties, the separator page dialog, are the separator files specified
like this: "c:\windows\system32\pcl.sep" or like this: "pcl.sep"?

I have a similar problem with the print migrator 3.1 tool. I have a W2K
cluster with two virtual print servers. I ran the tool successfully on one
of the print servers, yet it will not complete on the second print server.
It will get to "Starting Backup of \\printsrv" and the time and "Cluster
Detected". It will then close the Printer Migrator 3.1 program window.
Sometimes I will get a Dr. Watson error.
I do have seperator pages on two servers. The browse option is grayed out
to change the path. I removed the seperator page and it did not change the
outcome. Any ideas?
