Print job stuck in "spooling" state with Remote Desktop Printer Redirection

H

Helen Waite

I have two Windows XP SP1 workstations. My home computer
has a Lexmark Z53 inkjet printer (USB). I'd like to be
able to print to that printer from my work computer which
I'm connected to thru Remote Desktop and SBC DSL.

To set this up, I selected to share printers in Remote
Desktop options. I installed the Z53 drivers on my work
computer and selected port TS003 PRN1. However, whenever
I submit a test print from my work computer, it gets
stuck in the queue on my home computer. It will remain
in a "spooling" state until I delete the job and reboot.

What am I doing wrong here? It seemed like a simple
concept.
