Princess Diana Syndrome

My computer crashed. I took it to the shop and they said I had the Princess
Diana Sydndrome - I had installed the wrong driver.
Can this be true?

I haven't heard of the PD Syndrome (must remember it though; quite amusing)
but it seems to me that you could do this. Certainly, uninstalling certain
drivers can cause havoc, so if you replaced one of these that might be why.

another reason (especially if they had to reinstall windows) is that they
have no idea what went wrong, and got that out of a little book of PC repair
excuses.
