Primary Restore of AD

This is a rather lame question, but we are simulating our
disaster recovery plan.

Assuming all domain controllers are now burnt to toast by
the fire that swept through the building, we are now
restoring our AD network.

All documentation points to the fact we need to do a
primary restore on the first Domain controller restored
and then non-authoratitive on the remaining DCs.

Can some one please explain what a primary restore is or
point me to a good How to article.

If you are rebuilding a domain from nothing you need to do a primary restore
of sysvol before you begin. The AD Disaster Recovery white paper has a good
guide to this.
