I've installed windows XP home version using FAT. When
the cojputer boots up, it reads my hard drive but says
primary ide cable condustor not installed F1 to continue
or press delete
what does this mean and how to a fix it?

Thanks,

adam

It probably says the a 40-core instead of an 80-core cable
is installed. The 80-core cable speeds up disk access by
some 30%. Ask your friendly computer dealer for one,
then replace it. They cost very little.
