Install 2nd hard drive on Pri IDE cable

The following drives are listed in my bios settings

Primay IDE cable ...master (EXISTING HARD DRIVE),,,slave (zip drive)
Sec IDE cable....master (DVDRW drive),,, slave (cdrw drive )

I am going to install a new hard drive in place of the zip drive on my
Primay cable as a slave, for back up purposes, op system, photos, documents,
etc.

Can I replace the CDRW drive with the zip drive I removed from the primary
cable aand keep it as a slave on the secondary cable?

Thanks

Yes. Why do you want a zip drive these days, though? 100mb is tiny!

Have a similar setup using an older LS120 floppy drive. It has to be master
to work correctly. The DVD-RW didn't mind being slave despite the TDK
directions for it to be master.
