I am surprised the PricelessWareHome site doesn't have a list of
screensavers. Is that something others think would be a good addition?
Perhaps I have missed something but I don't recall seeing any
discussion on this.

A couple are listed - search for "screensaver" using the edit/find menu on the Category page:

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_CategoryIndex.php

that gives you these links:

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_BUSINESS-HOME.php#3.10Quotes:ScreenSaverFile
http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_BUSINESS-HOME.php#8.01Astronomy:Screensaver
http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_DESKTOP.php#6.00Screensaver

I'll be happy to add more. I don't think we should aim for a comprehensive list - just a nice
assortment- include some that will run on older machines - some for holidays. . .

Suggestions?

For a minute I thought he meant a Precelessware Screensaver...maybe with
the Pricelessware Logo, and every few seconds a freeware program would
pop up saying "Hey, Try This"
There would be a brief description of the software, a screenshot and the
URL. You could just sit and watch it, like that drawing hand payware
one that I like so much.

Sonny Barger has an interesting screen saver (for any bikers out there):

The Organic Art Screensaver is out there somewhere, but I couldn't find
a reputable enough link so I'll let somebody else come up with one.

I don't think screensavers are priceless.

Maybe not, but they are a category of software. Thus, some of them are
(or should be) Pricelessware.

This link worked for me just now:

Thanks John. :)

A few thoughts about listing more screensavers. The ACF pages have some apps with duplicate names
now. I think duplicate names may occur more often in screensavers than in other categories (there
are probably many screensaver apps named "Aquarium", "Halloween" etc. etc.). I show both the program
names and the author's name or company name on the acf info pages to avoid confusion. TIA to all for
making sure you include that info in your posts.

about Dragon Cutlets screen saver v1.2
I couldn't find this version on the site. Do you have a link? Is this version better than the later
version?

version 1.2 is running on one of my computers and I could upload it
somewhere for you to download, but ...
Version 2 looks the same to me. In the screensaver v1.2 the .exe contains
also "hot corners" a utility for triggering the screensaver. Never change a
program that causes no problems ;-)
I have played a while with v2, but I see no differences with v1.2.

http://www.wischik.com/scr/savers/dragon2-setup.exe contains now only the
dragon mobile screensaver.

Hi Mike,

Do you want to add requests to the Freeware Wish List or are you hoping someone will post about
existing screensavers that meet your requirements?

Nero have an interesting screen saver on their website. It is free to

A list of free screensavers is not complete without Weather Globe as far
as I'm concerned. And yes, it is free even though it says "purchase" on
the site:

It's now listed - I put it on the INTERNET page with the other weather apps. A few other
screensavers are also listed by subject subcategory (astronomy, fractals etc.).

Weather Globe is here:

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_INTERNET.php#3904

in this subcategory:

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/acf/P_INTERNET.php#2.10GetWeather:Screensaver

I noted that it was "(Freeware: temporarily)". I'm counting on you to let me know if/when it becomes
shareware.

The screensaver related posts I had saved are now *somewhat* organized. A few more apps have been
added to the ACF program info pages (many still to do). IOW - A little progress is being made in
this subcategory at long last. ;)

I've moved the DESKTOP screensaver and wallpaper subcategories to the GRAPHICS page where they've
joined other apps that have screensaver capabilities. The eye candy is here now:

Thank you for jumping on my question and responding so quickly. I see
the list of screensavers from the link you provided, but I cannot find
it from the Site Index pages of Desktop or Graphics which is the way I
have always entered into the individual categories. Am I missing
something or is this by design?
