Previous Shutdown was Unexpected

Our Win 2000 server reboots automatically, it happens only
during working hours, (8.30-17) although it runs an
overnight Veritas Backupexec based tape backup.
Virus removal programs could not identify any viruses.
There is no particular user which logs in just before
the 'Unexpected shut down'.
There is no blue screen, or hardware error dump.

By default the system is set to reboot automatically after a blue screen.
Make sure this is disabled and then watch for the blue screens again.
Does the event viewer indicate a proper shutdown? You should be able to tell
by looking for an event id 6006 in the syslog.
When it shuts down properly, you should see 6006 (shutdown), then 6009
(startup).

Good luck.
