Is there a way to set Windows XP NOT to keep the Network Share Shortcuts
when they are typed in. I've already done the following:
1.. Open up the Windows Explorer
2.. Go to Tools / Folder Options / View
3.. The top section should be Files and Folders
4.. Uncheck Automatically search for network folders and printers
5.. Then go into Network Neighborhood Select all the previous netowork
connections Delete them
If later I go in and mannual enter a UNC to a share it will keep it uner
Network Neighborhood. I don't like this as I have a hiden I.T. share. If I
enter this in at a user's workstation then they have a shortcut saved under
Network Neighborhood.

There is a setting in group policy to not add shortcuts.. There is a setting in Start's properties to hide the menu.
