Preview Pane

The From address in all of my Outlook 2003 messages are no longer displayed,
all that is displayed in the preview pane are: the date of the message and
in some cases the content of the message. A second problem is that the first
couple of lines that should be displayed in the preview pane are no longer
shown.

you need an autopreview view for the 2nd.
try running Outlook with the cleanviews switch mentioned here:
http://office.microsoft.com/assista...3&CTT=8&Origin=EC011081751033&Product=out2003

you will lose all Custom Views.
