Preview Pane Flicker

New to MM. Have downloade videos. When reviewing clips, they are jumpy/jittery in the preview pane. The test movie I made plays ok in Windows Media Player 9.0.
Any obvious solution??? Thanks in advance.

MM shows just that.... A Preview. It runs at a slower fps than normal and if
you have lots of transitions/effects/audio added it will skip pieces in
order to show it in real time. So what you see is quite normal, and the
proof is that the saved movie plays fine in WMP.
