preventing windows from accurately checking the license 0x8007007e

Hello,

I installed SP 2 on XP pro two weeks ago and have not had any problems until
this morning when I turned on my PC. I get the following:

"A problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license for
this computer, error code: 0x8007007e".

I can't find any refernce to this exact error anywhere on the web. I've
found similar errors relating to DELL PC's (I have a toshiba) and tried those
fixes but no luck. I also tried running adaware as suggested in other
places. Still no luck.

I can book into safe mode, but not with networking.

Can anyone out there help???

You could try:

Go to start/run, and type: regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll
OK, then when you get the successful message then type:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
