Prevent encarta dictionary from loading during xp startup?

"Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008" causes Encarta
Dictionary to load when the system is started, placing an
icon in the system tray. I'd like to prevent the long
startup delay this causes. I've searched Usenet and
microsoft.com for a "how to" article. None found.

I've unchecked EDICT in System Configuration Utility Startup
and deleted edict.exe "..\run\" keys in the registry. Both
are re-created on system startup. Start > Programs > Startup
is empty.

How do I overcome edict.exe?

Check your startup folder. Click start---run---type in msconfig click ok.
Click startup tab---if there, remove x from item

Have you tried Mike Lin's startup control panel? I suppose a google
on "mike lin" would find it.

Yes, thanks. It surely beats changing all the startup
settings manually. But it doesn't cure the problem of the
disabled registry \run\ key being supplemented with a new
functioning key during system startup. Same duplication
behavior in Configuration Utility Startup tab.
