I created a presentation using Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation that was
included in Office 2003. When I save my presentation, I have no problems, and
when I open it, it has no problems on my computer. When I open it on a
different Computer, and i get a message saying "Some Controls are not
recognized by Powerpoint." I have exactly the same powerpoint presentation on
the other computer and it doesn't work. The fonts are messed up, not the ones
I set them to, the words are not in the places I set them, and the Custom
Animations are not working.

Sounds like you created your presentation in PPT 2002 or 2003 and the other
computers have an older version. Also, the other computers probably do not
have the same fonts that the computer on which you created the presentation
has. To prevent this from happening again:

1. use safe fonts: Make sure my chosen fonts are availableWhen you
distribute presentations that will run on computers other than your own, you
want to ensure that the fonts you choose will be available on the ...

2. diable new features: Distributing PPTs - Pitfalls, Panics & PleasuresMany
of the animation features introduced in PowerPoint 2002 (XP) aren't supported

I'm guessing that you added something to the slides using the Controls toolbox.
Some of the things you find there (text boxes, checkboxes and such) are common
to all versions of PPT back to 97 and shouldn't give any trouble. Other things
there reflect the software installed on your computer but not on everybody's
computer.

Did you add anything from the controls box?

See Sandy's answer re fonts.

As to custom animations, if you play the presentation back in PowerPoint 2000 or
earlier, it won't support all the animations you can add in 2003.

If that's the problem, consider installing the free PowerPoint 2003 viewer on
the other computers.
