Presentation will go full screen

I am trying to display a PP presentation using PP2003. The presentation
displays on the monitor just fine but on the projection screen it appears
letterbox like. Black bars at the top and bottom with the image squished
vertically. Is there a setting that I can change to fix this? Page setup is
set to On-Screen Show and I am using verically oriented slides.

Thanks !!!!

Do you have a wide screen aspect (16:9) laptop driving the projector which
is a standard aspect ratio (4:3) projector (how do you know, you have to
read the manual)? If so, with the projector hooked up and turned on, go into
your video card settings (right click blank area on desktop, XP- left click
properties, Settings, or for Vista - Personalize, display settings. This
will bring you to a screen that shows two monitors (labeled 1 & 2). First
click the Identify button and the projector should show a big 2 in the
center of the screen. If not click the 2 monitor and then click the radio
button Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor but not make it the
primary monitor. Click Apply. The projector screen probably will go blank
for a few seconds and then the projector will probably only display a
background. On the laptop's screen click the monitor 2 again and then check
the Screen resolution setting. If it is not set for 800X600, 1024X768,
1280X1024, or 1600X1200, you need to adjust the slider for the input
specifications for your projector. Once the projector is running without
the black areas at the top and bottom, you can turn off the extend button
and reapply. You should then see the monitor display on both computers.
Try your PPT presentation again and see if this fixes your problem.

Now, if you don't have a wide aspect screen computer or the projector
described above, these instructions do not apply to you.
