presentation question

I have created several powerpoint presentations of my church's hymns. I've
done each one separately so that I would have the words and various
background graphics etc. to go along with the text of the songs. Now when I
want to make one presentation for viewing on Sunday morning, is there any
easy way to get all of the hymns into one presentation without the
backgrounds etc. changing each time. I've just been going back over the
slides and adding the original backgrounds. Thanks.

Since you didn't bother to mention the version of PPT you're working with,

If you want the slide to retain its original formatting (such as background),
you can use the "Paste Options" button, which appears below the pasted slide
(in the Slides pane on the left). Click on that button and choose "Keep
Source Formatting."
