Presentation displays differently on different PCs

All of the PCs in the office are running M XP Pro and Powerpoint 2007.
On some of the PCs, the presentation (both when editing and displaying)
appears shifted up. When you edit the presentation, you actually have to
type on the line below, navigate to the next slide then back in order to view
the changes.

Any ideas? I've run MS updates, all systems should be on the same versions.

Thanks!

Local vs. network print drivers does the trick.
PP displays correctly if default printer is set to ANY local printer (PDF or
OneNote). We have no local printers.
This fixes the Excel graph problem too.

When you open the presentation, the default printer needs to have local
drivers.
Is there a note from MS on this feature?

I did a bit of quick searching and couldn't find any specific article that
contains all of this voodooknowledge. What you read in the FAQ article is
an
accumulation of bits contributed by lots of PPT users and a few of the MS
product
support and other tech folks.

I can't claim it's 100% authoritative, but if it works for you, you can't
argue
with the fact that it works for you.

We should talk to them about getting something up on the MSKB, though.
Sometimes IT staff want "authoritative sources," you know? More
authoritative than us, anyway. <G>
