Presentation different when put on a laptop

My presentation played fine at the office, but on a laptop the individual lines didn't come in on the mouse click--they all came up at once

Could this be because of an older PP version? How can I fix this in the future? Thanks.

Yes, it's because of two different versions.

If you tell us what version's on the laptop and what version's on the other
computer, we can tell you how to prevent it.
