Music in Power Point presentation

I've added music to my PP presentation, it plays fine on my home computer.
However, when I burn a disc and load the presentation onto my laptop it plays
everything except the music. I have checked the laptop and it's sound is
working fine. I have even played the presentation disc back on my home
computer and the music plays ok. What gives?

Hi KFJ,

Which method do you use to burn the presentation to CD? just burn the
presentation to CD? Do you use the feature of package for CD in
PowerPoint? In generally, this method often works well. About how to
burn the presentation to CD, you could go to view this article:
http://snipurl.com/autorun-cd

About why the sound cannot be shown on other computer, the reason is
that Sound files in wav format larger than 100 KB (i.e. anything but a
short sound effect) and other file formats are linked to PowerPoint
presentation, when you Email the PowerPoint presentation or show your
presentation on other computers, the linked music will not be shown.
The differences between embed and link, please view:

I think the problem is that you have not save your music to the disc.

When convert PowerPoint to CD/DVD you'd better put the presentation
and the sound file into the same folder then make sure that the sound
can play. If it cannot play you should reinsert the sound file into
your presentation.

I do not know which method you use to burn your presentation to disc,
package for CD? If you want to view your presentation on TV or DVD
machine, the program PPT2DVD http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/ppt2dvd/overview.html#104
can convert the presentation to DVD format and retain all sounds,
videos and animation in your computer.
