Preparing Hard Disk for Full Restore Question

Hi,

If I'm setting up Windows 2000 on a fresh hard drive to do a full system
recovery,

1) Do I have to partition the hard drives to the same size?
2) Do the partition types have to be the same as the previous configuration
(FAT, NTFS)?
3) If I previously had software mirrored physical disks, do I have to have
the same in order to
restore my data?

Thanks,

Do
