Preferred email address not used

I migrated from XP OE6 to Vista. I changed a contact's email address in
"Contacts". I then "Create Mail" and type the first few letters of this
contact's name. The OLD email address was inserted in the To: field. To
correct this I had to click on "To:" and find the contact and insert the
name. After sending the message I quit the program... reloaded and then the
correct email address is inserted after typing a few letters. (along with
the option of choosing the old address)
I just throw this out there for what it's worth.

I have yet to figure out why Windows Mail won't fill in email addresses as I
type the first couple letters. OE6 did this flawlessly by checking against
my address book. In WM if I send someone an email it will remember it the
next time I type it in. BUT, after the next restart it forgets it and I'm
forced to type in the entire address or choose the email address from the
contact list or use the contacts gadget. So far I think WM really stinks!!
