PRB w/ QFE 842930

I attempted to install QFE 842930 but the installation threw an error. I have full control permissions on the development machine.

The dialog box title is "QFE Installer Error."
The message is "Failed copying file 328310_sysmain.sdb to the QFE repository directory. Please check write permissions.
Setup cannot continue."

No permission changes have been made to the machine since the last time I installed XPe QFEs. I checked MSDN for clues without success.

Could this be a problem with the QFE installer? Does the installer expect a particular setting to the folder or file permissions?

Any assistance here would be much appreciated.

Hi Tony,

Try writing so some of repository folder trough network share if you can't then you will have to set valid write permissions to
repository folder or/and network share.
You can try by allowing everyone full access on both places.

I don't know why you see the problems with the QFE installation.
But instead you can install Q824704 (QFE Rollup) which includes the all the
fixes 328310 related.

Thanks, I was able to write and delete files from the network share on

the development PC but still not able to install the QFE due to the previous
error listed below.
