I the same question and a related question. Why would I get a file in .pttx?
I just receieved one recently and had a hard time opening it. I could not
figure out how to be sure I was saving it as regular .ptt. It kept opening in
slide viewer mode and with shell/incomplete content showing.
pptx is the new file format for powerpoint presentations introduced with
version 2007. If you have 2007 you can 'downsave' as a 97-2003 file (a ppt),
if you have previous versions you can install the compatibility pack which
