PPT Viewer 2003

Client is using PPT 2003 to modify a presentation that was created using PPT
2000. The file is saved as a pps. The presentation has many hyperlinks that
hyperlink to other slides in the same presentation. All the hyperlinks work
as they should when viewing the pps file in PPT. When the file is opened in
the Viewer, all the links work except the one he just added. When he moves
his mouse over the hyperlink, the hand icon displays but when he clicks his
mouse, the mouse changes to the white arrow. It is only when using the viewer
that this happens and only to the newly added link. Could it possibly be that
the new slide is corrupt? But why does the hyperlink work when viewing in PPT?

What type of object was the link created on? Is it on an autoshape with no
line/no fill, or maybe one that's had its transparency set to 100%?

I believe it is on an autoshape with no line/fill.
All the hyperlinks seem to have been created that way - the ones that work
and the one that doesn't.

You will need to have them change the objects to have a fill that is
transparent. Otherwise, the 2003 viewer can't find the object to activate
the link.

(I would be curious to see an example slide that has one of the objects that
doesn't have a fill but is working. If you are able to do so, could you make
a presentation with one slide with one of the objects and the slide it
links too, and then email it to me? Unknot my address to send to me.)

Checked all the objects and none of them had a fill color. Changed it to a
fill with 100% transparency - that still did not resolve it. He then replaced
the slide he was trying to hyperlink to with a new slide and that took care
of it. The slide he was trying to hyperlink to must have been corrupted.

Checked all the objects and none of them had a fill color. Changed it to a
fill with 100% transparency - that still did not resolve it. He then
