ppt to pdf and pictures are blurry

I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard and I have created a pdf file from a ppt
slide presentation using the out of the box tool. The pictures in the pdf
file are quite blurry. How do I get them to a better resolution?

First, zoom in on the images to see if they get worse or better.
Let us know which.

Next, turn off the image smoothing option in Reader/Acrobat/Whichever
If that doesn't do it, check your image compression options in the Adobe PDF
printer driver settings. Try lzw/zip rather than JPG.
