PPT Presentation using JPG, MOV, WMA files

A friend of mine wants to put together a montage for his
daughter's birthday, which would include JPG files and
MOV files, with WMA music overlaid on top of it.
(The WMA music will only be played over the JPG files
since the MOV already has sound.)

I want to refer him to something that would be easy to use,
and I have heard that Powerpoint might do it. But I have
also read on Austin's site that integrating ".MOV" files
into a PPT presentation is difficult since ".MOV" is an
Apple Quicktime file.

If PPT is not the answer, can anybody suggest some
easy-to-use software that can do this?

Thanks.

I'd use something like Movie Maker (free download for Windows XP) or another
video editing package and leave PowerPoint out of it altogether. You can
import video clips, sound and pictures into the video editor and then create
a complete video file that includes all of that.

(I'm not positive Movie Maker will import MOV files. You could use QuickTime
Pro (about $25) to convert the MOV to a format Movie Maker will import,
though.)
