QuickTime (.mov) file in PowerPoint 2000

I need to include a few .mov clips in my presentation. Normally I have them
in .mpg or .avi format. This time they are .mov files. Then I'll be taking
the presentation on the road via CD-ROM. Must QuickTime be installed on each
and every computer I use to show the presentation? Or, do you have any
suggestions as a work around. Thanks,
Frank

Yes, quicktime must be installed for you to view quicktime

I was going to suggest
http://www.pfcmedia.com addin but at this time it does not support
quicktime, as that would have been ideal. As it would convert your quicktime
to wmv files.

I'd suggest trying to find some software to convert your mov to another
format (e.g. mpg1) for the most reliable playback

I believe QuickTime Pro lets you convert to other formats.
