PPT/PPS to animated gif

Hi,

Is there any way within Ppt, or using shareware, whereby
I can take my slide show (only 5 slides) and convert it to
an animated gif file?

Not from within PowerPoint, but you can save each slide as an image (GIF) and
then use software like GIF Construction Set to create an animated GIF.

Last time I looked camtasia from techsmith was available on a 30 day download.
This software can capture your slideshow and then convert it to an animated GIF
