I'm running Office 2003, small business edition,
powerpoint 2003. I want to save a presentation as a
powerpoint show (pps), but the "save as" option doesn't
give me a choice to save as a pps.
How do I save a presentation as a powerpoint show?
Chip

Hm, that's odd. Do you have any options when you do a Save As?

Have you activated Office yet? Many things become disabled when Office goes
into reduced functionality mode (after 50 starts); then you must activate.

You have to scroll down a bit in the Save As Type listbox to find the Show
(*.PPS) listing, but in any case, it simply saves a copy of your
presentation with a .PPS extension instead of .PPT

In other words, all you need to do is make a copy of the file using Windows
Explorer or gasp! DOS and rename it with a PPS extension.

Much appreciated Steve. It always turns out to be the
simple stuff that snags me.

No problem. C'mon back any time for more, and you can help others out with
the tricky stuff. <G>
