I don't find *.pps format in Save As dialog box

I am using MS powerpoint 2003 version....in Windows 2000.
In the SAVE AS dialog box, i don't have .pps option.Then how will i save the
..ppt presentation in .pps format.
I want my presentation to be seen on opening itself. Is there any other
formats that will help me???

Make sure that you have all the appropriate updates (patches) for the program in place. You might try detect and repair to see if that produces a PowerPoint show option in the save as drop down menu. In the meantime all you need to do is change the extension from ppt to pps. They are both the same. the difference being is the way they open ad how they are displayed.

As well as Michael's advice see if you can scroll down in the "save as type"
box. Microsoft have put .pps conveniently just out of sight!
