I use Power-point 2003 and have second level bullets in my presentation.
Shen I select an animation scheme like "Elegant" or "Fade in and Dim", my
second level point show up with their parent point, but I would like for
them to wait for a click before they show up. I know you can make this
happen manually with custom animation. However, that takes a long time to
change every single second level bullet in the presentation. Is it possible
to use an animation scheme but have the second level bullets come up only
after a mouse-click?

Thank you for your help.

The way to do this is to add the custom animation to the slide master. All
text box animations will then follow this scheme

Bob,
To add to what John said, it is possible to change the animation schemes on
a more permanent basis. You can customize the existing schemes or even add
new ones. All of these animation schemes are kept in a file called
"quikanim.ppt" in the office11 folder. This file contains all the effects
from the task pane and can be edited provided you remove the read-only box.
You can even add your own standard animation scheme. Just change whatever
you want and save the file reinstating the read-only property.
Thanks to Shyam Pillai there is this exellent tutorial on the subject see:

Thank you John. This helped me learn a lot about the Slide Master. I am
using it in this presentation.

I have another question about inserting animation within a table. But I
will put that quesiton in a new post.
Thank you very much for your help.
