PPT.2002 Any success in adding music to a photo slideshow?

I love the things I was able to do visually with my photos for a slideshow in
Powerpoint. I caught on quite easily to designing my slideshows with the
Powerpoint features, (more so than with any of the other slideshow products
I've tried) but I have not been able to figure out how to add my music CD to
my presentation. I can start my Windows Media Player, get to the start
slideshow button and then jump in to catch my slides and start rehearsing my
timings to fit almost to a T, but I always wonder if it will be that perfect
in my playback, or I'll have trouble getting one or the other to respond.
How do I add the music to the chosen slides to save and copy in only one CD
or DVD? Can I then view it on a TV, a computer or get it played back on a
site? Is this possible with my 2002 version?

You'll need to "rip" the sound tracks from the CD. You can do this with free
software such as AudioGrabber. Put the files in the same folder with your
presentation.

Then use Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File to insert the track. See
the following for more detail:

Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

Then you can burn a CD with the presentation and sound file. See
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/acdpc.htm or
http://www.echosvoice.com/autoruncd.htm for how to do that.
