PPP dialup client has a lookback IP address as default gateway

Hi All,
I have an question regarding the IP address of default gateway on remote
dialup client. I do an IPCONFIG on connected client PC, the IP address and
default geteway IP address is "the same" (DHCP assigned). I make sure "Use
default gateway on remote network" is checked in TCP/IP settings. I can PING
any host name on the network, but cannot access the network shares
sometimes, but not all the times.

Then on RRAS server, I do a "Show IP Routing Table" on Internal interface
and see the IP of default gateway is a lookback IP, 127.0.0.1. I think
that's how I get the wrong gateway IP on remote client. How can I fix it?

Thanks

Win2K3 DC, RRAS, DNS, and WinXP client.

You can use "Route delete" command to delete the route from the routing
table and use command "Route add" to add the required route.
