PPoint Show - Font distortion

I

ibgolfn

When I save as a ppsx file and give it to others, the fonts distort somehow.
This causes the spacing to be off and cause lines to break into two lines
thus throwing off all the alignent of text boxes on the slide. My goal is to
be able to make a presentation that I can email to others that will look just
like it does for me.

Thanks for your help

Hi Scot

This could be caused by 2 problems: printer driver problems (I know it
sounds crazy but PowerPoint 2007 relies very heavily on the local printer
driver to 'draw' things on the screen) and font issues.

It probably isn't the first problem - or rather if this was the issue, the
person at the other end would be having problems with all their
presentations, not just yours.

Which leaves us with the second problem - fonts used in a presentation must
be installed on the computer that is showing the presentation or PowerPoint
will replace them with a font of its choice (no, you can't control that).
You can embed some fonts, but that can also lead to issues and doesn't
always work as expected. So, your choices are:

- use a common font that is installed on all PCs:
Make sure my chosen fonts are available

- have a go at embedding the fonts:

- convert to another format to take PowerPoint out of the equation such as
pdf or a movie file:

Hope that helps,
