PP shuts down immediately upon opening a file

I've been working on slides for the past few days, and PP has been operating
just fine. Today I got an error message when I opened the program--stating
that and "undetected error had been found," and to shut the program and
reopen. I've done that, have restarted my computer several times, and now
each time I try to open PP, it opens for a split second and then
automatically shuts down again immediately.

My freelance project is due today! HELP!!
 
Try deleting your *.PCB file (it's your PPT toolbar). PPT will recreate it
next time you start it. You'll lose any customizations, though.

If that doesn't help, then post back and tell us what version of PPT and
Windows.
