PowerRegScheduler

Hi,
I looked for answers to this question and didn't find any. Also, I didn't
find a better place to ask this question.
I have a new computer with Vista and Windows Defender. I keep getting the
message that PowerRegScheduler is a program that is acting strange. What is
PowerRegScheduler and should I remove it?
Your help would be appreciated.
