Powerpoint

I am trying to link a Powerpoint slide to another file so
that I can update the data in that slide using the
automatic update setting without interupting the show.
Based on what I've read in the help file I should be able
to do this, however, I can't seem to be able to make if
work. In other words, I can successfully link the file
and force the update manually but not automatically. Do
you have any suggestions?

what i think you are saying is that you are trying to make it update
realtime, and during a slideshow.
your right there is no way to make it automatically update unless you write
some complex vb
maybe the mvps have some addin that does that..
