I have inserted a picture in a slide in powerpoint. I animated the picture
so that when you click on "slide show" the picture will rotate. My problem
is when I click on the slide, I see the picture. I do not want the picture
to be visible when I click on the picture. I only want it visible when you
click on "slide show" which is when it rotates. How can I make it so that:
a. When I click on the slide the picture is invisible.
b. When I click on the slide, it automatically goes to "slide show".
Thank you for your help.

a. Set an Entrance animation (Appear is fine) and have that set to On
Click. Have your rotate animation right after it and set to After
Previous.

b. Save your file as a PowerPoint Show (.pps or .ppsx depending on the
version you are using).

I got your response. The picture is still visible when I first click on the
slide. What is the possibility I can get your email and send you the file so
that you can see what I am talking about? Thank you for your response.

email so that I can email you the slide? My email is (e-mail address removed)
Thank you for your response.

No, please don't send me what you have. Instead, watch this brief video
that explains the process you want to do:

Lets say I did everything that you recommended. If I was to email you that
slide and you open it, you will see the texts and picture. THAT IS MY
PROBLEM. I do not want you to see the picture. The only time I want you to
see the picture is when you click on "slide show". Can the picture be
invisible when you open it or is it possible once you open the slide, it
automatically goes to "slide show". I know I received an email several years
ago and when I opened the slide, it automatically went to "slide show".
Thank you for the presentation and for your time and patient.

What you are saying is that you don't want the picture to show up in the
presentation at all, even when opened in Normal/Edit View? For that to
happen, you could either put the picture off the viewable portion of the
slide and have a motion path to bring it in prior to the spin.
Alternatively, you could have another shape (perhaps a big white box)
covering up the picture. Then, instead of an entrance animation for the
picture, you could have an exit animation for the white box.

None of these things would prevent someone from ever seeing the picture
(i.e., it wouldn't work as a security measure), but they would hide the
picture from view under normal circumstances.

As I said in my first email, if you want the slide show to open directly
to Slide Show View, you have to save at as a PowerPoint Show (.pps or
..ppsx). This is also not a security measure as it can still be opened in
Normal/Edit View, but it will, under normal circumstances, open directly
into slide show view.

I Know it has been awhile. I have had some serious family issues. I hope
you are still willing to help me. I saved the slide to a PowerPoint Show
(Save as a presentation that always opens up in a slide show view). I exited
the slide and opened it back. It still came up as the slide and not the
slide show were the pictures are in motion. I even created another slide
with animated pictures. Saved it as "PowerPoint Show" but the same thing
happened.

I hope everything is OK with you now. If a PowerPoint Show is not
opening in Slide Show View, then you should look here:

That should help you fix that problem.
