I've instaled PowerPoint 97 viewer which enables me to view and print the
lecture notes. However, one limitation of this viewer compared to the full
PowerPoint program is that it does not appear to have the "handouts" option
which prints multiple slides per page. Is there a fix for this? Can
printers contain other options to force this?

I do not believe that the Viewer allows printing of anything other than
one slide per page. However, some printers do have options to print
multiple pages on one page, but that is totally dependent on your printer
and unrelated to PowerPoint.

Thank you for the quick response...it looks like I'm going shopping for a new
printer.

I wouldn't do that right off, not until you've tested or asked here to see if
anybody else has the same printer.

The 2003 viewer seems to be unable to print N-Up pages even though the printer
driver itself can. Whether that's deliberate or a bug, I don't know.
