PowerPoint Viewer

The hyperlink warning in powerpoint viewer is very annoying. Can it be
eliminated? Is there a way to add a "don't ask me this again" checkbox?

Not what I was looking for. Maybe my scenario will help. I have a
presentation that will run from a CD. I have hyperlinks to PDF documents in
the presentation. When the presentation is running from the CD in pptview
and a hyperlink to a PDF is "clicked" a message box opens with the warning:
Some hyperlinks may contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer.
It is important to be certain that this hyperlink is from a trustworthy
source. Do you want to ope this hyperlink?

It only happens to the hyperlinks that are tied to PDFs. I have hyperlinks
to other PPT files... no warning, they just work.

This warning did not exist in ppview32. The best solution would be the
ability to have a check box... don't show me this again... on this warning
message box.

How do it do that?

Thanks,
Brad

Lucy, bcone's question was exactly what I was looking for... unfortunately,
the answer you suggested didnt help. The link goes to the Office 2007 site,
and I only have 2003... I dont know if that makes a difference....
but the main thing is that it discusses running it on your own computer, and
I need to make CD's for distribution to hundreds of customers who have who
knows what on their computers....
and my boss insists that the popup not be there before I send them out.

Got any other ideas??

Pup,

Here's what you have to do... Find an old computer with Office 2000... do
the pack and go thing on your presentation and include the viewer. Then
explode that file to a folder. Bascially you have to have an older version
of PowerPoint Viewer.. ppview32. I understand the sabotage they have done to
the newer version... some genius used a hyperlink to launch a virus and now
we all have to pay for it. You will likely have to do some reformatting to
your presentation.

Anyway, add a autorun.inf file with the correct syntax and you will have
what you desire. Copy all that onto your CD and away you go.

Lucy, thanks! Now the trick around here is to find an old computer w/
O-2000...

not sure if we have one, but I get the idea how the wizards of Renton messed
us up!
thanks again.
