powerpoint to pdf

I teach math in a middle school where my lessons are all on PowerPoint that
I put on my web page. students who are absent, or just want to review the
lesson may do so. Some with older computers have problems with the
PowerPoint or viewer. I have been thinking of converting the lessons to
pdf. Does anyone know:
a) how?
b) pro's/advantages
c) con's/disadvantages
