PowerPoint Slide Show & NAV 2005 TIA

S

On Startup after reaching Desktop I have Windows Installer flashing a
message
as if it were installing something but shows nothing actually being
installed.
When trying to open a PowerPoint Slide Show I get this message (three
times)
before the PPS opens. Labeled "Norton AntiVirus" the message reads
"Please wait while Windows configures NAV 2005"
Then immediately up pops (three times) this message labeled "Setup"
saying
"This MSI must be launched through setup"
(I have an MSI motherboard but suspect the initials refer to
Microsoft Installer??)
This happens after formating my hard drive and as soon as
I install NAV after or before MS Office XP.
Any advice gratefully accepted, folks. TIA

"How to use Office programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in"

| SUMMARY
| The Norton AntiVirus plug-in for Microsoft Office scans documents for
| macro virus infections in Office products. This plug-in may cause
| performance issues, the inability to open files within Office, or the
| inability to install some Office programs.

Great. Do not install any Symantec products.
This happens after formating my hard drive and as soon as
I install NAV after or before MS Office XP.
