PowerPoint PPS and IE7 problem

In IE7, when I click on a link to a PowerPoint PPS file here at work and
select "Open" it always opens in edit view; when I click "Save" it will then
open automatically to the slide show like it should when opened.

In Firefox 2 & 3, it works correctly both methods - opening directly to the
slide show. What can I do so every one who clicks on my link (using IE) gets
the slide show to automatically open up? I really would appreciate some help.
Thanks!

Hi,

This is a compatible problem.

You can try to convert your PPS to Flash. Flash is supported by
different explorers.
Here is an aritlce about convert PPS to Flash. With 3 methods to help
you convert.

Thanks for the Flash suggestion, I might try that. What's frustrating is
occasionally I do come across a PPS file that opens directly into slideshow
mode when I'm using IE as my browser. Weird!! Thanks again.
