is there any way to properly run a powerpoint saved in .htm from firefox?
 
is there any way to properly run a powerpoint saved in .htm from firefox?

It probably has more to do with the options you choose when you save as HTML
from Powerpoint. There are options to save so that it's compatible with older
browsers. That might also make the results work better in Firefox (since it's
likely to avoid IE-specific code).

Are you having specific problems with a presentation? If so, please describe
them and provide a link to the presentation/html on the web if possible.
 
the problem with the presentation is as follows: the pictures load far too
large and dwarf the rest of the slide, or are placed in a really odd place,
such as several inches away from the slide.

firefox gives this message: "This presentation contains content that your
browser may not be able to show properly. This presentation was optimized for
more recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you would like to
proceed anyway, click here"

Try different options: File, Save As Web Page, click Publish and choose "All
browsers ..." to see if that helps.
